Unitatea TTE IS38 Race este o actualizare premium a turbocompresorului, dezvoltată inițial pornind de la turbocompresorul IHI IS38 care vine standard pe Golf 7 R, S3 8V și TTS. Acest turbocompresor este îmbunătățit cu un pachet de rulmenți de performanță TTE și are un miez echilibrat pentru motorsport pentru a asigura performanțe fiabile.
