The Mishimoto racing thermostat for the 1.8T 20V engine is designed to enhance cooling efficiency in both stock and modified engines. This racing thermostat opens at a lower temperature than standard thermostats, allowing coolant to flow through the engine sooner and maintain cooler engine temperatures. It is a direct replacement for the stock thermostat and comes with the signature Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.
